TermPilot Refund Policy
How refunds, cancellations, and renewal billing work for TermPilot membership subscriptions paid through Paddle.
Effective date: September 24, 2026
Summary
- Every membership charge is collected by Paddle.com Market Ltd. as merchant of record, and Paddle also decides refund requests.
- You can request a discretionary refund within 14 days of a charge.
- Credits that have already been consumed are not refundable, except where applicable law requires a refund.
- Your statutory withdrawal and refund rights are not limited by this policy.
1. Who processes your payment
Membership subscriptions are sold and collected by Paddle.com Market Ltd. ("Paddle") as merchant of record. Paddle handles payment processing, tax invoicing, and receipts under its own terms and privacy policy. TermPilot does not receive or store card numbers.
Because Paddle is the seller of record for every charge, Paddle also makes the final decision on refund requests. TermPilot can support your request but cannot issue a refund on Paddle’s behalf.
2. What you see before you are charged
The plan, the billing interval, the price, and the Credits included are shown before you confirm a checkout or a plan change.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the displayed price for each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in the billing portal, and membership benefits continue until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Displayed prices include estimated tax where applicable. The final amount is confirmed at checkout.
The price and the included Credits allowance do not change during a paid billing period. If a future price change affects your renewal, we will tell you before it takes effect so you can cancel to avoid it.
3. Requesting a refund
You may ask Paddle for a discretionary refund within 14 days of the charge. Request it through Paddle, using the billing portal, the link in your receipt email, or paddle.net, and include your receipt or transaction reference so the charge can be located quickly.
The TermPilot feedback page handles product issues, usage questions, and account problems. It cannot process refunds.
4. Consumed Credits
Membership provides digital content that is consumed immediately, so fees are non-refundable once Credits have been consumed, except where a refund is required by applicable law.
How much of the allowance you used may affect Paddle’s decision on a discretionary request. This does not limit any statutory withdrawal or refund right.
5. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits consumer rights you are entitled to by law, including any mandatory withdrawal, cancellation, or refund right in your country of residence.
Where you have a statutory right to withdraw, that right applies whether or not you also request a discretionary refund, and where a statutory right gives you more than this policy, the statutory right prevails. For digital content supplied immediately, a statutory withdrawal right may end once supply has begun with your consent.
6. After a refund or chargeback
If a refund or chargeback is approved, membership ends immediately, remaining unused membership Credits are removed, and renewal billing stops.
A new checkout may be temporarily unavailable for up to 90 days after a payment dispute or chargeback, or where reasonably necessary to investigate suspected payment abuse. This does not limit any statutory right.
7. Questions and complaints
Start with the feedback page or write to xiexuanzheng602@gmail.com, and include the email address used for the purchase. We aim to answer billing questions promptly.
If a charge cannot be resolved with us, you can raise it with Paddle as merchant of record, or contact your local consumer protection authority. Neither route prevents you from contacting the other.
